Put A Shift In Your Life! Music Presented By Marcos Ubeda! Episode #2352
The Fierce Female Network - A podcast by Fierce Manson

Marcos Ubeda – “Sexy Lady” “Sexy Lady” is a funky fusion-pop banger, blending the flair of Dirty Loops with the grooves of Quincy Jones, the slickness of Justin Timberlake and the swagger of Jamiroquai. For the first time in his career, Marcos Ubeda steps into the spotlight not only as producer and songwriter, but also as lead vocalist. With musical heavyweights such as George “Jojje” Wadenius (Blood, Sweat & Tears, Steely Dan) and renowned backing vocalist Jeanette Olsson (Cher, Britney Spears, Agnetha Fältskog) on board, the result is a jazz-funk explosion wrapped in a sleek Swedish pop package – playful, virtuosic and irresistibly catchy. ⸻ A song about “musical infidelity” At first listen, “Sexy Lady” might sound like a song about passion and forbidden love. But on a metaphorical level, it’s really about being unfaithful to music itself. “When a jazz musician suddenly writes a schlager hit, it almost feels like cheating on jazz. But just like in love, what feels wrong can also feel so right. For me, schlager has always been my ‘Sexy Lady’.” –Marcos Ubeda ⸻ About Marcos Ubeda Marcos Ubeda is a Swedish pianist, producer and songwriter who has moved seamlessly between jazz, pop and television entertainment for more than three decades.
